Photo uploading + other relevent information

(This information will also be emailed and placed on the I ain’t afraid of no boats! Facebook Group.)

As part of this grassroots campaign to show support to Asylum Seekers we really want to get as many photographs of as many people as possible wearing the T-shirts and badges preferably on Election Day at the polling booth.

There are no restrictions on taking photos around the polling area, so long as no ballot papers are in sight. If you are handing out information cards on the day, please stay as far away from the polling area as the major parties folk handing out how-to-vote cards. Otherwise an electoral commission person will be grumpy at you.

creatrixtiara asked: I'm a recent migrant (not an asylum seeker per se, but also from a third-world country) and the way politicos have been using us as scapegoats & spreading misinformation makes me SO MAD. I want to do a Muffled Protest in Brisbane: http://www.boat-people.org/ Could you help?

Hi Tiara, I’d love to help! This is a great idea. Can you please email me more info about and we can discuss further? (notafraidofboats at gmail)

Badges! Get your badges!

As per the Badges Update! post, we now have the badges available!

Badges will cost $2 each. To make a bit easier in terms of distribution, I will be asking that the badges either be picked up or I am happy to deliver them to you in the Brisbane area (within reason) with payment upon delivery. Direct debit is also an option (especially so if you intend to order a few badges.) If you would prefer, I am happy to post badges to you.

If you are not in Queensland, I will advise of the distribution point in your state soon.

I am of course open to suggestions!
